We are looking for motivated and eager members to join the lab. If you are excited to do research in host-microbe interactions and innate immunity, and to go hunting for wild nematodes, contact Robert Luallen. 

Host-Bacteria Interactions Workshop

We are recruiting early-stage undergraduates and transfer students to conduct research with the Luallen lab. For this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn techniques like sampling around campus, finding/isolating wild nematodes via a microscope, conducting fluorescent probe hybridization and visualization on a fluorescent microscope, and PCR with metagenomics. We will be accepting 4 students for this Fall 2024 to conduct research with the lab from Oct. 7 - Dec. 13, with ~10 hrs of lab time a week (very flexible depending on your schedule).
